Backorder Service Regulations

Backorder is a service for automatically monitoring a domain name that may be released and attempting to register it after deletion from the registry. GoodNet performs a technical registration attempt, but cannot guarantee the result because the domain may be renewed by its current owner or registered by another registrar.

1. Terms

  • Client means a GoodNet user who submits a request through the client area.
  • Request means the client's instruction to monitor and attempt registration of a specific domain name.
  • Domain release means the moment when the domain is deleted from the registry and may become available for new registration.
  • Successful backorder means the domain is registered through GoodNet and added to the client's account.
  • Unsuccessful backorder means the domain could not be registered due to renewal, registration by another party, registry restrictions or a technical reason.

2. What GoodNet Does

  1. Accepts a client's domain backorder request.
  2. Creates an invoice for the service and domain registration.
  3. After payment, adds the domain to automatic monitoring.
  4. Checks the domain status and tracks when it may become available.
  5. When technically possible, sends the domain registration command.
  6. If successful, adds the domain to the client's account.

3. Request Submission

  1. The client enters the domain name in the Backorder form.
  2. The client accepts the service rules and personal data processing consent required for domain registration.
  3. The system creates an order and invoice.
  4. If the client has enough account credit, it may be applied automatically.
  5. The request does not participate in monitoring until payment is received.

4. Payment

The service price is displayed on the Backorder page in the client area. The invoice may include a separate Backorder service fee and the first-period domain registration fee.

If the domain is successfully registered, the payment is treated as payment for the completed service and domain registration. Further renewals are billed according to the tariff of the relevant domain zone.

5. Request Result

  • If the domain is successfully registered, it appears in the client's account as an active domain.
  • If the domain is renewed by the current owner, the request may be closed as unsuccessful.
  • If the domain is registered by another registrar before GoodNet, the request is considered unsuccessful.
  • If the registry or registrar returns a technical error, the request is reviewed by an administrator.

6. Refunds

For an unsuccessful request, GoodNet may return the paid amount to the client's internal account balance after reviewing the reason. The refund is made to the account balance from which the request was placed, unless otherwise agreed with support.

A refund does not compensate lost profit, project value, advertising costs, SEO metrics, brand value, traffic or any other indirect losses.

7. Service Limitations

  • GoodNet is not the only participant in the registration process for released domains.
  • GoodNet does not control registry deletion timelines.
  • GoodNet is not responsible for actions of the current domain owner, domain zone administrator or third-party registrars.
  • GoodNet may refuse to process a request if the domain is related to a dispute, violation of third-party rights, domain zone restrictions or legal risk.
  • The service does not guarantee preservation of domain history, reputation, search metrics, traffic or previous DNS settings.

8. Multiple Requests for One Domain

If several requests are submitted for the same domain, GoodNet may determine the processing order according to internal rules, payment time, technical registration capability or a separate agreement with clients.

9. Domain Assignment to the Client

After successful registration, the domain is added to the account of the client who submitted and paid for the request. Domain management, renewal, DNS changes and contact updates are performed through the GoodNet client area.

10. Changes to the Rules

GoodNet may update these regulations when technical conditions, tariffs, domain zone rules or internal procedures change. The current version is published on this page.
