Consent to Personal Data Processing

This consent applies to domain registration, backorder, renewal and maintenance services, as well as related GoodNet services. By confirming consent in the client area, the client authorizes GoodNet to process data required to provide the ordered service.

1. Who Gives Consent

Consent is given by the GoodNet client: an individual, a representative of a legal entity or a person acting on behalf of the account owner. The client confirms that the provided data is current, accurate and may be used to provide services.

2. Data That May Be Processed

  • full name or organization name;
  • address, country, city and postal code;
  • phone number and email address;
  • client area account data;
  • payment information, invoice history and account balance transactions;
  • domain name, registrant or administrator contact details and technical data required for registration;
  • service information such as IP address, request date, ticket history and support correspondence.

3. Purposes of Processing

  • creating and maintaining the client account;
  • domain registration, backorder, renewal and maintenance;
  • request review, invoicing and payment accounting;
  • returning funds to the balance for an unsuccessful request;
  • communicating with the client about the ordered service;
  • transferring data to registrars, registries and domain zone administrators when required to perform the service;
  • complying with applicable law, domain zone rules and contractual obligations.

4. Transfer to Registrars and Registries

To register or backorder a domain name, GoodNet may transfer necessary data to a registrar, registry operator, domain zone administrator, payment provider or technical provider. Only the amount of data required for the specific operation is transferred.

5. WHOIS, RDAP and Public Domain Data

The client understands that rules of certain domain zones may require domain owner contact data to be used in WHOIS, RDAP or internal registry systems. Depending on the zone and registrar rules, such data may be hidden, partially anonymized or displayed in public services.

6. Accuracy and Updates

The client must keep contact data in the GoodNet account up to date. Inaccurate or outdated data may make domain registration impossible, restrict domain management, delay backorder processing or cause a registrar or registry to reject the operation.

7. Processing and Storage Period

Data is processed for the period of account activity, service provision, domain maintenance, payment accounting, legal compliance and dispute resolution. Some information may be retained longer if required by law, accounting rules, domain zone policies or protection of the rights of GoodNet and the client.

8. Client Rights

The client may contact GoodNet support to clarify, correct or update personal data. The client may also request information about data processing or withdraw consent, provided this does not conflict with current obligations or domain zone rules.

9. Refusal to Provide Data

If the client does not provide the required data or withdraws consent to processing, GoodNet may be unable to register, backorder, renew or maintain the domain name.

10. Confirmation of Consent

By ticking the consent checkbox in the client area or continuing with the service order, the client confirms that they have read this document, understand the purposes of processing and authorize GoodNet to use the data to provide the ordered service.
